Metrics Based HR – Because Some Rabbits Bite

June 20 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

LAHRA presents Jim Lewis, President of J Lewis Consulting Group, on HR Measurements

This session explores best practices in using metrics to create the valid data necessary to build the credibility of HR as a critical architect of strategic human capital management.

Data can be shaped to lead to any conclusion. Even inadvertently bad assumptions allow you to pull whatever rabbit you need out of your hat, wowing the management team and gaining support for your programs. But be careful, some rabbits bite!

Strategies employed using invalid data won’t produce what’s been promised. This ruins HR’S credibility and its role as a strategic partner to management. So how do you create a metrics program that reveals your human capital challenges and allows for sound solutions?

This session will explore the potential pitfalls of building a data-driven human capital management program. Best sources of data, ways to construct programs, and even statistical validity in data will be discussed in an easy-to-understand format.

Presenter:  Jim Lewis, President of J Lewis Consulting Group
