About the Speaker
Megan Scheid is the Founder and Owner of Scheid Human Capital Consulting LLC in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Megan started the firm to provide HR services to small and medium sized businesses that feel a void in their HR support. Her mission is to be a valued, go-to resource for companies that need additional HR expertise to support their team.
Megan’s background brings nearly a decade of experience that spans across all areas of HR. She has a demonstrated history of working within professional services, finance, and manufacturing industries skilled in recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, talent management, performance reviews, employee relations, payroll, compensation, benefits, HRIS, organizational structure and development, company culture, employee handbook and policy administration. Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Grand Valley State University.
Prior to launching Scheid Human Capital Consulting, Megan served as the Human Resources Manager at a lower middle-market private equity investment firm based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In that role, Megan led all HR strategies, talent management and recruitment functions for the company, while also providing support and advising for a variety of portfolio companies. Before that, Megan came from Chicago where she started her career working at a middle-market credit investment firm, specifically leading their recruiting and onboarding efforts.
