DATA BREACHES IN THE WORKPLACE – HOW TO PREPARE AND HOW TO RESPOND

This is the season for W-2 phishing scams and it is always the season for ransomware. This legal update will show Human Resources how to protect their organization by properly preparing the workforce for data privacy/security incidents and breaches. It is no longer “IF” an organization will be hit with some sort of data incident or breach – but “WHEN”. We will review employee training and recommended policies, including an incident response plan, that will make your WHEN more manageable. Over 70% of all data breaches involve human error. Human Resources can decrease this human error by educating the workforce. How are you preparing the humans in your organization?

Carlie Lockwood is the Vice President of Human Resources at Partner Solutions, CS Partners and MEP Services.
These companies serve as the employer of record to professionals in the fields of education, daycare, and autism. She has worked for CS Partners for almost 20 years, working with her Partners to build the company from 60 employees to 2000 at over 30 locations. She loves her team and the dedicated professionals she works with daily. She loves working for a fast past, growing company that puts employees first.
Carlie and her husband Chad have four sons and live in the Hartland area. She joined LAHRA as a way to get local training on relevant issues and network with professionals in the HR field close to work.
